Vic: Boy falls of car bonnet, gets run over
A nine-year-old boy who has been run over after falling off the bonnet of a movingcar will undergo surgery at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital.
Police say the boy had been riding on the bonnet of a silver Ford sedan on HomesteadRoad, Berwick, when he fell under the vehicle about 7.20pm (AEST) yesterday.
Metropolitan Ambulance spokesman JAMES HOWE says the boy had been flown to the RoyalChildren's Hospital in a serious condition with leg, abdominal and shoulder injuries.
A hospital spokeswoman says the boy is in a stable condition and will undergo surgery today.
She says the boy's parents don't want his name released.
Police are interviewing a male relative of the boy who was driving the car.
