Qld: Minister to visit flood areas
BRISBANE, Feb 22 AAP - Emergency Services Minister Stephen Robertson is to make a flying
visit to flood-hit central Queensland today.
He wants to assess the situation first hand to decide what action the state government
needs to take.
The flooding has cut road and rail links, with about 300 travellers stranded in the
Winton area, some in their vehicles on the Landsborough Highway.
Boats and a State Emergency Service helicopter are supplying trapped travellers and
residents in flood-affected areas bounded by Richmond, Hughenden, Muttaburra, …
